The plane seats 355 people. Rows 6-10 are designated "Scoot in Silence" seats.

CLASS:

Travel Economy

FLIGHT TIME:

7 hours 40 minutes

Standard window seat near the back of the aircraft. 3,3,3 configuration. Not a lot of leg room. Pitch 31, Width 18.9-19.7 Felt cramped.

A bid for Scootbiz seats was offered by email a couple of days before departure.

HOW FULL:

Very, very full.

FOOD & DRINK:

No free tea, coffee or water. Buy them from the quite expensive on board menu. Prices are in Singaporean dollars which are similar to NZ dollars.

Purely  by chance, I noticed that on the back of the menu booklet it said NO OUTSIDE FOOD ALLOWED, but it seems a lot of people had brought their own snacks and drinks. I don't know how strictly this policy was policed. I hadn't noticed any mention of it anywhere when booking.

ENTERTAINMENT:

SCOOT TV and movies can be streamed to your device for US $11

You can get connected with in-flight Wi-Fi from  US $6

For US $5  you can purchase in SEAT power to recharge your devices.

SERVICE:

Non existent really unless purchasing food, drinks etc as this takes up all the attendants time.

PRICE:

Fare, including taxes and fees- NZ $528 per person

PLUS - 1 x 20 kg bag- NZ $63 ( purchased after original booking)

PLUS - SEAT selection fee- NZ $28

PLUS - Processing fee for using a credit card- NZ $23 ( What a rip off this fee is!)

TOTAL: NZ $528

Be aware of those extra charges!

BATHROOMS:

Good.

WOULD I FLY IT AGAIN?

I would definitely upgrade to a bigger SEAT with more leg room. It's a day flight, which is a plus for me, departing at 9.00 am and reaching Singapore at about 3.30 pm Singapore time. No frills but it served the purpose of getting us from point A to Point B at a very cost efficient price.(Review Scoot Air. Scoot Air Gold Coast to Singapore)
